The Affordable Care Act has different implications for businesses depending upon your company’s size and whether you currently offer health benefit plans to employees.

*PLEASE NOTE:
Originally scheduled to take effect in 2014, the Obama administration has delayed implementation of the employer mandate (employer shared responsibility) until 2015. In 2015, the mandate will require businesses with 100-plus full-time equivalent employees to offer health insurance or pay a penalty. In 2016, the mandate will require businesses with 50-plus full-time equivalent employees to offer health insurance or pay a penalty.
