Keith R. Olsen, past President of Nebraska Farm Bureau Federation, farms near Grant in southwest Nebraska and produces wheat, certified seed wheat and corn. He began farming in 1967 in the southwest corner of Perkins County.

Olsen graduated with a Bachelor's degree in agriculture economics from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

He is a past President of the Perkins County Farm Bureau and served many years on its Board of Directors. At the state level of Farm Bureau, he served eight years on the State Legislative Policy Committee and four years as a member of the Tax Advisory Committee. He was elected to the Nebraska Farm Bureau Board of Directors in 1992 to represent District 7 (southwest Nebraska) and re-elected in 1995.

After his election as first Vice President in 1997, Olsen served in that capacity until 2002, when he became President of the organization. He retired in 2012. In January 2004, the American Farm Bureau Federation elected Olsen to serve on its Board of Directors. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company. He currently serves on the board of directors of Agriculture Builders of Nebraska and Kregel Windmill Factory Museum in Nebraska City.

Olsen is a Certified Lay Speaker in the United Methodist Church and a member of Grant United Methodist Church. He was a 4-H leader for 30 years and is a member of the Rotary Club, Masonic Lodg, and Chamber of Commerce in Grant. He is a past President and Board member of the Chamber.

He is a past Board member of the Southwest Nebraska Community Betterment Corporation, as well as being the past Director of the First National Bank in Ogallala and the United Nebraska Bank in Grant.
