Nebraska HeartlandBlue
We’re proud to be able to offer ACA-compliant health plans. Our health plans are available across the state of Nebraska and offer a variety of coverage options.
Ready to Enroll?
Open enrollment has ended, but you may still be able to get coverage through a Special Enrollment Period (SEP). You qualify for an SEP if you’ve recently had a life event, including losing health coverage, moving, getting married, having a baby or adopting a child, and more.
Depending on your SEP type, you may have 60 days before or 60 days following the event to enroll in a plan.
Chat with an agent to see if you qualify for an SEP by calling 844-665-1121. Or if you already know you qualify for an SEP, you can enroll now.

Compare Plans
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) made it easy to compare health insurance plans. All ACA plans are grouped into categories, often called “metallic levels,” based on how costs are split between you and your insurance provider. We offer plans in the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Standard categories.

Bronze
Offers the lowest premium costs - but has higher out-of-pocket costs.

Silver
Higher premium costs than Bronze plans - but lower out-of-pocket costs.

Gold
Offers the lowest out-of-pocket costs - but has the highest premium costs.
Standard Plans
Standard plans offer a uniform cost-sharing structure across all metallic levels. This allows you to easily compare plans across carriers and shop for coverage. CMS guidelines require all participating carriers to offer standard plans among their 2023 plan offerings.

Traveling outside of Nebraska?
Services received from health care providers outside the state of Nebraska are not covered except for emergency services. If you’re traveling outside of Nebraska, you still have access to your plan’s telehealth benefits.
BCBSNE offers telehealth services through Amwell, so you can access a nationwide network of U.S. board-certified physicians, available for live visits on your computer or mobile device, whenever you need them. Telehealth visits often cost less than an emergency room, urgent care or even in-office doctor visits. Visit NebraskaBlue.com/Telehealth for more information.

We offer prescription drug coverage through our Rx Nebraska Prescription Drug Program with our pharmacy benefit manager, Prime Therapeutics, Inc.
