Please note: Member cost shares will continue to be waived through May 11, 2023, for all in-network telehealth visits directly related to diagnosing COVID-19. Normal plan cost shares apply for all other covered telehealth services.

We encourage you to reach out to your primary care provider to learn about their telehealth capabilities. You can also register to use services provided by BCBSNE’s preferred telehealth provider, Amwell.*

To register to use services provided by Amwell®, please follow the instructions below. You will need your member ID number and the service code below to register.

*Employees of self-funded groups should check with their employer regarding their telehealth benefits. Please refer to the back of your member ID card to determine if Amwell is an option for you for telehealth.

Telehealth is an innovative patient consultation service that lets you connect with a U.S. board-certified, licensed and credentialed doctor quickly and easily. Rather than having to schedule a doctor’s appointment and travel to and from the doctor’s office, telehealth lets you interact with a doctor at your convenience. Telehealth also offers behavioral health and counseling services, known as teletherapy, Amwell’s licensed therapists will provide treatment for many common conditions. 

With telehealth, you can select your physician using online patient ratings and continue to see the same physician for future online visits if you are satisfied with your experience.

Therapists are available by appointment from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. local time, 7 days per week.
