Diabetes Medication Education Diabetes is growing at an alarming rate in the United States. For most people, it is a preventable and/or reversible disease. This program introduces the medications that are available to treat diabetes and how they work to lower blood sugar and reduce the risk of long-term complications. Participating individuals will be provided with information to manage diabetes clinically and financially. 45 minutes
Diabetes 101 Research shows type 2 diabetes can be prevented or delayed by 58% through lifestyle intervention. Individuals will learn carbohydrate counting, meal planning, how to read food labels, before-meal and after-meal testing information and more. 45 minutes

Take Control of High Blood Pressure with DASH Recently diagnosed with high blood pressure? Known as a silent killer, it is a major risk factor for chronic kidney and cardiovascular disease. While medication may still be required, this seminar describes how participants can help lower blood pressure by following the Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension (DASH) eating plan and other practical day-to-day techniques. 45 minutes
Physical Activity and Your Heart This seminar helps individuals understand the impact of physical activity on their hearts, as well as the power of regular activity on overall health. Individuals will receive topics on how to get started and stay motivated with physical activity. 45 minutes
Lowering Your Cholesterol with TLC High cholesterol is a serious condition that increases the risk of heart disease. It is the number one killer of American men and women. The higher blood cholesterol is, the greater the risk of developing heart disease. Fortunately, there are steps we can take to lower cholesterol and protect our health. This seminar shows participants how to take action by following the "TLC Program" to reduce high blood pressure. TLC stands for Therapeutic Lifestyle Changes, a three-part program that uses diet, physical activity and weight management. The TLC program can help improve cholesterol health. This presentation discusses 10 ways to stay on track with diet and fitness goals. 45 minutes
Power of Prevention Although chronic diseases are among the most common and costly of all health problems, they are also among the most preventable. Chronic disease prevention, to be most effective, must occur in multiple sectors and across individuals' entire life spans. Prevention encompasses health promotion activities that encourage healthy living and limit the initial onset of chronic diseases. This seminar discusses the importance of early detection efforts, such as screenings, as well as strategies for appropriate management of existing diseases and related complications. 45 minutes

Organizing a Family for Less Stress and More Fun Clothing, toys, schedules and memorabilia, a certified professional organizer, will share expert tips to help individuals get their  family organized.  She will use Love and Logic strategies to help individuals engage their whole family in the process. This presentation will challenge their attitude toward organizing and help them identify some of the obstacles that are keeping them from getting organized. 60 minutes

Meditation for Holiday Stress 88% of people experience increased stress during the holidays. Meditation skills can help reduce stress. Participants will learn and practice meditation skills during the presentation. 30-60 minutes
Stress, an Equal Opportunity Destroyer This presentation defines stress relative to heart health and various methods to manage it. This session also teaches the "how-to" of proper exercise and stretching for managing stress. 45 minutes
Getting Organized In this fun and informative presentation, a local professional organizer presents the steps to get organized, the tendencies that may hold participants back, and some "ah ha" tips that will inspire participants to tackle their trouble spots. Paper, time and stuff are all up for discussion. 45 minutes
Life Balance: The Focus is on You This presentation is based on the Life Balance Pyramid, a guide explaining how good choices will lead to a heart-healthy life. 45 minutes
Meditation, Breathing, and Relaxation Learn the basics of meditation, breathing and relaxation and the importance of each in supporting mental and physical healing and overall wellness. Participants will be provided hands-on learning and tools to practice for relaxation and grounding. Up to 90 minutes
Emotional Intelligence Learn the importance of emotions and how they shape our thoughts, decisions and behaviors. Participants will learn the components of emotions and tools to regulate through responsiveness. Up to 90 minutes
Mindful Communication Understand how individuals, groups and systems' past experiences can project onto each other and the importance of mindful communication. Participants will learn tools to bring awareness to how we communicate to gain both insights and compassion. Up to 90 minutes

Mitigating Trauma and High Stress Learn the effects of trauma on the mind and body and how to restore your own wellness. Participants will learn how trauma and vicarious trauma play a role in our overall health and tools to recover and heal. Up to 90 minutes
Maintaining Healthy Boundaries Learn how boundaries and expectations create safety and help keep us all emotionally well. Participants will learn practice tools on how to create systems for maintaining healthy boundaries while prioritizing what is necessary for overall health. Up to 90 minutes
Holding Contradictions Learn how holding contradictions is an everyday skill that can be helpful in how we thrive. Participants will learn how our brains process the complexity of holding contradictions and practice tools for overall mental wellness. Up to 90 minutes
Gratitude and Joy Practicing gratitude and joy can be healing tools during stressful times. Learn how to respond mindfully vs. reactionary while also practicing gratitude. Participants will learn tools for seeking joy and creating gratitude practices. Up to 90 minutes

Weight Control "Chewsing" Well. This seminar offers an approach to making healthier food choices. Participants will learn how to achieve a healthy body weight by identifying patterns of eating behaviors, environment and determining good nutrition. 45 minutes
Strategies for Success Surviving in the Fast-Food-Lane. This course teaches participants how to maneuver through today's hectic and high-calorie environment so they can eat out and still manage their weight. Participants also learn tips on healthy eating at home. They may find it's faster, tastier, less expensive and less stressful than eating out. 45 minutes
Nutrition- Eating for Life This seminar reviews the effects that can accompany the extremes of dieting. Participants learn about obstacles to weight loss, explore nutritional components relative to weight loss, determined appropriate portion sizes and develop a plan for "sticking with it." 45 minutes
Shaking the Salt Habit What are salt and sodium? This program will discuss the five steps to low-sodium living. 45 minutes
