NaviNet® self-service timeline of events
November 2023
In-Network Providers will need to submit appeals or reconsiderations in NaviNet
In-Network Providers will be redirected to NaviNet to check for appeal or reconsideration status
CSC will be redirected to NaviNet for ALL claim status regardless of submission date
Remittance Advice (RAs) requests will continue to be redirected to NaviNet
September’s #1 provider claim return reason
BCBSNE has identified September's #1 provider claim return reason:
The Federal Tax Identification number and/or the NPI number for the Provider, Rendering or Referring, is not effective for the date of service.
Please ensure you are reviewing your provider's effective date before submitting claims.

Did you know? You can self-service most of your claim administration in NaviNet
On the “Claim Status Detail” page of NaviNet, you can see claim progress and outcomes, view claim return letters, submit reconsiderations, timely filing disputes and Claim Investigations for questions. From here, you can also submit Appeals and see the status.
Your Remittance Advices can be obtained through the Workflows menu and are available for the past two years.
Please do not submit BCBSNE Medicare Advantage (Y2M or YMA prefixes) appeals, reconsiderations, or timely filing disputes via NaviNet.
